His academic background has been focused on the design and implementation of experiments in the fields of quantum optics and quantum information. Some of his research interests are quantum information processing, photonic entanglement sources, high-dimensional entangled states and quantum non-locality.
Santiago is the author of 12 articles in different science journals, including 5 as first author, with a h-index of 7 according to Google scholar.
