The 11 February is the ‘International Day of Women and Girls in Science’, a day dedicated to the role of women scientists. The purpose of this initiative is to raise awareness about the gender inequalities in the free access of women and girls to research.
The girls and women scientists of Quantum Lab celebrated the day with several initiatives of Sapienza University. Taira participated in the meet and greet day organized by the Polo Museale Sapienza at the Botanic Garden of Rome. The day after, the women of the Physics Department organized an event with round tables and a poster session, to discuss gender inequalities in physics and to highlight the role of women in the department. Alessia, Beatrice, Taira, and Valeria participated in the poster session and showed their research projects.
